A website mockup is a presentation of a page at a chosen moment. The page must first render correctly at the target viewport. Capture the mobile version for a phone and the desktop version for a laptop; shrinking one desktop screenshot into every device does not demonstrate responsive design.
Choose the viewport before capturing
Pixmock offers mobile and desktop capture for public HTTP or HTTPS pages when its isolated capture service is enabled. The mobile viewport is 390 × 844 pixels; desktop is 1440 × 900. These are browser viewport sizes, not claims about a particular phone's physical pixel density.
Paste a public URL into Website, choose the viewport and request capture. Review the screenshot before placing it on a device. Some websites require consent, block automated browsers or delay content. Capture cannot sign into accounts, solve challenges or bypass access restrictions.
Use a local screenshot when needed
For an authenticated design review, capture the page yourself with permission and remove private data before uploading. Never paste credentials into a URL. A local screenshot is also useful when your design depends on a state that a public page cannot reproduce, such as an expanded menu or a particular form validation message.
Keep the crop intentional
Select the target device and replace its screen. Choose Fill or Fit, then adjust crop position and zoom. Avoid cutting a headline midway or placing a button behind a camera cutout. Use a consistent capture state across multiple devices when comparing responsive layouts.
Understand temporary processing
Capture does not consume a Free image export. The captured screenshot returns to the editor for composition. Exporting a completed still image counts toward the Free allowance; a failed render does not. Export and capture do not create a permanently saved project. Pro users save a project only by choosing Save to Cloud.
For capture failures, try a simpler public page, confirm the URL opens without login, or upload your own screenshot. See the help page for service availability and privacy for processing and retention details.
